Luyben Music Store was started in 1948 by Bob Luyben in Kansas City, Missouri. Luyben Music was an institution in Kansas City as the best place to purchase sheet music. Many percussion students from the greater Kansas City area would go to Luyben Music to purchase methods and music. And if Luyben didn't have it, they would order it for you.
A few years ago, Jeff Hewitt went to Luyben Music as they were closing their doors due to Covid. He purchased all of the remaining drum and percussion methods
