William Moersch's The Modern Marimba, is perhaps one of the most influential recordings of the marimba ever made. All of the works recorded on this CD have come to be the standard "warhorses" in the repertorie, Four of the five works included in this recording were written expressly for Mr. Moersch, and all five represented composers have become household names in the world of percussion literature.
