Drumfire holds a special place in the compositions of William Zickos. This composition was often the first solo performed by many of Zickos' students. Drumfire was originally composed for snare drum and bass drum. Once it was mastered on the snare and bass, the student was encouraged to improvise the composition "around the drums", incorporating tom toms and cymbals as desired.

This is not to say that Drumfire is easy! To play this piece well, and to play it at a tempo where it "swings", presents a number of challenges. It is also a great way for drummer to learn to interpret and improvise rhythmic materials around the drums.

Once purchased, you'll receive an email link to instantly download a .pdf file of this piece. No waiting for physical mail, no additional shipping costs, no additional sales tax.
